Meet The Quintuplets!

Jillian Fisher

Jillian and the quints

Jillian Fisher is the guardian of the quintuplets, and the author of the books about them. For as long as she can remember she has wished for a twin sister, or at least a sister. But she only has an older brother. Another life long desire has been to write. One of her earliest memories is of buying a penmanship book when she was about four. Just practicing forming the letters of the alphabet gave her a special kind of thrill that she feels even today, after making a particularly perfect looking letter. Stories were her first love (she could read before she entered kindergarten) and Winnie The Pooh is her second love (she got her first at age two, from Santa), and American Girl dolls are her third love. But then the quints came along, and now everything has been bumped down by them.

Not used to raising children, Jillian finds caring for the quintuplets to be challenging. She wants to be their friend, but knows she has to be responsible and the two don't always go together. Her parenting style is creative and loving, seeking to have the quints learn from their mistakes rather than just disciplining them for doing wrong. Though Sora and Violet are generally good, and Lyre Chickadee tends to be too easy-going to get into trouble, Lorikeet and Zipporah stir up enough mischief and drama between them (and often pulling their sisters into it) to wear out a team of nannies. So Jillian's life has been quite busy since the quints came to life, but she wouldn't change it for anything.
